Birchby Doubles Up With Aces

Livello 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chris Birchby jammed for 450,000 from middle position and received a call from the player in the hijack. The rest of the table folded and the cards went on their backs.

Chris Birchby: AA
Opponent: AJ

Birchby's opponent would flop a jack on KJ2, but there was little sweat for Birchby when he made a flush on the 68 runout for a complete double-up.

Liang Hits An Apparent Miracle Ace on the River

Livello 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mike Liang
Mike Liang

A player raised from late position to 80,000 only to see Michael Liang three-bet jam 925,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way before the original raiser snap-called to set up a runout with Liang at risk.

Michael Liang: A9
Late Position: JJ

The 7106 flop was safe for the player holding jacks and the 3 on the turn didn't change anything either, but when the A fell on the river, Liang doubled to almost 2,000,000 chips.

As the pot was collected and pushed to Liang, the big blind said, "I had an ace, too. If you didn't shove, I would have" to which the small blind responded, "I had one too!", making it apparent that Liang had spiked a one outer to survive and double into a massive stack.

Lew Doubles Up

Livello 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Robbi Jade Lew
Robbi Jade Lew

Robbi Jade Lew pushed her final 250,000 chips in from under the gun and the action folded to the player in the small blind. He made the call with a stack of 290,000 and the big blind got out of the way.

Robbi Jade Lew: AK
Opponent: 66

It was looking like Lew would be eliminated when the flop came 527, but the K turn made her a pair higher than the sixes of her opponent. The 8 river remained clean for her as well, and she doubled up to an around-average stack, while her opponent was left with one big blind.

Livello 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Dylan DeStefano raised under to gun to 80,000, finding the player in the big blind who defended. The big blind seemingly thought they were all in and at risk and were ready to table their hand. Once made aware that they still had approximately 20,000 behind, it was heads up to a flop.

The flop came 6109. The big blind checked and DeStefano promptly put them all in. The big blind called.

Big Blind: K10
Dylan DeStefano: QQ

The turn and river came the 9 and 6 respectively and DeStefano's opponent was sent to the rail.

Plante Wins A Flip to Double

Livello 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

A player in middle position raised to 60,000. Action folded around to Santiago Plante in the big blind who slid forward 560,000 in what was basically an all in three-bet, but being on a pay jump, he had held back a 5,000 chip as a card protector.

The middle position player jammed and Plante entered a short tank to try and allow a bust out to take place to guarantee himself the ladder in payouts. After a couple of minutes, he put the last chip in and the cards were turned over before heading to a runout.

Santiago Plante: 77
Middle Position: A9

The board ran out 68210J, keeping Plante in the lead as he doubles to over a million in chips.

Yuri Dzivielevski and Gabriel Schroeder were battling once more, this time on a board of 4QA. Schroeder checked from early position and Dzivielevski bet 65,000 from the hijack, into a pot of around 300,000. Schroeder made the call before the pair checked through the 2 turn.

On the 2 river, it was Schroeder who led out for 85,000. Dzivielevski thought about it for a while before shoving all in for 450,000. Schroeder went into the tank but eventually came up with a fold, shipping the pot to Dzivielevski.
